Let's make your instrument more fun!
First, please read this (all of it):
I've been told this page is "off-putting." Please consider when reading this stuff that I'm just one person, often with dozens of instruments waiting in line to be fixed. In order to run all aspects of my business (emails, ordering, cleaning, bookkeeping, marketing, customer service, etc) and still have time to actually fix guitars, I've gotta have a few guardrails in place. This helps both of us. No one's time gets wasted, and hopefully, if there are any surprises, they're the good kind!
I promise I'm a normal person with hobbies, a sense of humor, and a pulse.

- A credit card number is required to secure an appointment. Your card will be charged a fee (one full hour of labor) if the appointment is missed. An appointment is considered missed at 20 minutes past the scheduled time. Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled 2 days or more in advance. There is a link in your communication from Square Appointments to do this.
- You will receive email confirmation for your booking. It contains important info. Please read it.
- I will not accept instruments without a case or gig bag. Hard cases are optimal, and will keep your instrument in the best health.
- Minimum bench fee is one half hour at current labor rate. This fee will be applied towards the final invoice amount if your instrument is left in the shop for repair.
- The person dropping off and picking up the instrument MUST be the owner. I will not send the instrument off with a stranger. I need to know specific information about the instrument before working on it, as well as at pick-up time.
- If you bring a child into my space, you are responsible for their actions.
- Upon acceptance, all jobs over $500 require 50% prepayment. All jobs under $500 require full prepayment.
- Any special order parts must be paid for in advance. This may require paying for shipping.
- Any instrument left in the shop for 30 days past the date of *completion* will become the property of Nate Wood, DBA Stahman Guitars. I'll be in touch with the owner of the guitar 3 times within that period, via phone and/or email, to encourage a timely pick up. The first communication will be made on the date of completion.
- Any instrument left in the shop for longer than 7 days beyond the date of *completion* will incur a $20 per day storage fee. I have very limited space, and cannot store your instrument as more arrive.
- Labor rate is $120 per hour, and is subject to change without notice.
- Turnaround times are not guaranteed, and fluctuate depending on the current workload and work being performed.
- No commitment will be made to meet a specific timeline.
- I don't do partial jobs. It's all or nothing, as everything that leaves my shop is part of my reputation. I like to fix things all the way, so both parties can feel happy about the end result.
- I do not like to do "rush jobs," as I cannot do my best work in a hurry. If it's an emergency, or for some strange reason you'd still like hurried work after reading that, shoot me an email to see if I can accommodate it. If I take a rush job, it will be billed at double the standard hourly rate.
